The Scream

As the morning alarm rang,
The sun was still breaking at dawn
Before I could reach my hand
Towards the clock.
I heard the scream that was
Breaking the silence of my room.
I woke up ad hoc from my nasty sleep
And ran towards the window to peep outside.
But I saw nothing,
Only the strays pecking and howling.
I was astonished to have that feeling in me.
As the early sun reached the clouds,
My mind was timid to wake,
As the flowers in the garden
Visibly opened their buds,
I too was cooperating with
the nerves that were lost the previous night.
The day breaks with its yellowish scene
And welcomes the dark dawn.
I was much more worried and also,
I kept quiet inside my room,
I kept quiet inside my room,
I was fortunate that I didn’t hear the scream!!!
